Meet Your Hosts: John & Melanie

At Bristol Heritage Rentals, we don't just manage properties—we preserve homes in the city that raised us. Both John and Melanie are Bristol natives with deep roots in this community. After years in the corporate world, we decided to turn our shared passion for "bringing things back to life" into a full-time mission.

John recently retired from Corporate America to dedicate himself to real estate and the hands-on restoration of these historic spaces. Meanwhile, Melanie continues to lead digital marketing for a global dental company, ensuring our guests have a seamless, modern experience from the moment they find us online.

A Family Legacy

When we aren't restoring 19th-century brickwork, we are busy enjoying life with our five grown children and four grandchildren. As a large family, we understand the value of a space that feels like home—whether it's a grand estate for a reunion or a quiet studio for a solo retreat.

Our Passion for Heritage & Hospitality

Our love for Downtown Bristol and all things "Heritage" is at the heart of everything we do. We have a deep-seated passion for service and a soft spot for old houses that have a story to tell. From the 1880s Brickmason Manor (and its unique detached-kitchen Studio) to the 1930s Apple Hill Bungalow, we’ve poured our hearts into ensuring these homes are around for another hundred years.

Pet-Parents at Heart

As owners of two beloved dogs, we know that a vacation isn’t complete without the whole family. We’ve designed our properties to be truly pet-friendly, combining our "Pet-Parent" hospitality with the luxury of a meticulously remodeled home.
